Grandma Dean

I have been thinking about my Grandma Dean a lot lately. I have tremendous love and admiration for this remarkable woman. She is one of Heaven's angels on the earth. She has raised 10 children who are all hard working, productive, and kind. She has loved and nurtured 47 grandchildren and close to 60 great-grandchildren (I can't keep track of this number!). She has made each one of us feel like we are her favorite, she loves whole-hearted and unconditionally. She was always so great at letting us be kids, no matter how big of mess that entailed! The only time I heard her voice any hesitation at our play was with the irrigation ditch, it scared her, but she still let us play in it :o). She would cook us endless amounts of swedish hotcakes, and let us eat sugar sandwiches. She is the most PATIENT person I know! I wish I had this trait of hers (so do my kids!) I am so blessed to have this wonderful, inspiring, example and teacher in my life. She has taught me to enjoy every moment with my children because they will be grown before I can turn around. She has taught me to love, nurture, and teach them to be compassionate, because one day they might use those skills to take care of me. She has taught me to live in the moment and have fun, because those are the memories I will keep with me. She has taught me to love and cherish my husband, because I will not be the same when he is gone. I am so grateful everyday for this woman that I am privileged to call GRANDMA!

Cammee! I'm so happy you visited my blog. I added yours to my list of blog favorites . . . hope that's okay. It's a fun way to stay in touch. What a cute family you have . . . can't believe how grown up your kids are! And you're as gorgeous as ever, of course!

Hip hip hooray!!! I was so excited when I saw your comment... I'm so glad you have a blog. I'm a little upset that Jaime commented before me though! I think those cakes are the CUTEST thing I've ever seen... next to your family! So fun... and I love your post about Grandma... I feel exactly the same way about her!

Cheryl printed this out for Grandma, and she loves it! Said she's not near as good as you make her sound :) Your sweet family's love for Grandma and Grandpa has always been real and true. Grandpa always lit right up when "Badger" came to visit! And all Jon's help, so appreciated. We Love You Guys.
