One Year

It has been one year today since Jonathon's dad passed away. It seems so much longer than that, it seems like we've been without him forever. It was a rough year with a lot of tears and just plowing through. My heart still aches everyday for my husband and my mother-in-law. But there have been so many blessings, too. We have become closer as a family, we have come to rely on our Heavenly Father, we have gained a stronger knowledge and awe of the Atonement. I know we will continue to miss him and feel his absence everyday, but I hope we have more to smile and laugh about this coming year. We miss you Grandpa!

I was talking to Mom a few months ago and suggested we get her a pair of spare glasses to have on hand and she said to talk to Jon's Dad about it. When I reminded her he was gone, she felt bad and said he was a real nice man and always so good to her and Dad. Then she panicked and asked me if she remembered to do something nice, like send flowers :) He made my Riss a pair once too, and I found him so kind when he tried to save us money on them. I really hate losing our elder generation and their wit, wisdom and values. Tell Jon we're thinking of him and sending warm, positive thoughts. He's a good man from another good man.

As soon as I saw the pic and the"One Year", I started to cry. I look at people who have lost close loved ones, and the way their testimonies have grown from the loss and am amazed! Thanks for sharing part of what youve learned and setting a great example for someone like me who thinks that there is no way I could get through it.

Okay - I posted Friday and it hasn't shown up yet. I can only imagine what a hard but blessed year you have had. I am so glad that you are there for Kathy and she for you. You two have grown closer and that is such a blessing. You have been such a pillar of strength to both her and to Jonathon!

What great pictures of a great man, Hardy was a great family friend. My dad Kyle Terry was a good friend with him. It has been a rough year for us. Hardy came up every night after work and just talked about hunting or whatever. Its been very hard on my dad, He still thinks about him all the time and wishes he was here to call and ask what he though about something. It was funny cause i always complained about Hardy leaving his half of can of Diet Coke in the shop and I had to throw them away, What I would kill to have to throw them away now.
We sure do Love Hardy and Kathy. And hardy is in our thoughts all the time.
