Obviously this was their dad's idea...

Red Rock

Climbing the red rock was Gage's favorite part of the trip. He would NOT let us hold his hand (and he was climbing up steep rocks and ledges!) Everytime Grandpa Steve or I would try to help him he would say, "I can do it! I am not scared of anything!" That's the problem, buddy!

They were Simba and Nala on Pride Rock...too bad you didn't get to hear them ROAR!!

Baseball--St George

Click on this and look at his face. He makes fun of pitchers that pull faces when they throw, ha ha!!

Here are a few pictures from Bridger's games. He is so fun to watch! He is so intense while he is playing, he eats this game up! I love watching him have fun doing something he loves and is good at.

more Cove Fort...

This was amazing to me...it shows alot of what a throw-away society we are, and I'm the worst! It also made me laugh because the pioneers were so much better at recycling than we are!

In the corner on the table are sheets made from ticking. When it started to wear, they made pants out of them.

When the pants wear out they tear the fabric into strips.

Then they made rugs out of the strips.

When the rugs wear out they burn them. Then they made lye soap out of the ashes! Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he didn't send me then!

Look when this blanket was made!

I decided to do our little "mini-vacation" in a couple of posts so I don't overload anyone! Every time we go to St. George we just want to hurry and get there. This time there was no reason to hurry and get there, we left on Wednesday morning and Bridger didn't play until Thursday, so I made the decision to stop at Cove Fort on our way down. Bridger wasn't too happy about this (I don't think Jonathon really was either). Bridger was worried about it cutting into his swimming time, but I assured him he would have plenty of time to swim! We always drive by with the intention of stopping the next time, so I thought we ought to do it.

Cove Fort was amazing! Ira Hinckley (Pres. Hinckley's grandfather) was sent there in April and had it finished in November! If you've been there to see it, you realize how impossible this seems. And how dumb am I? I had no idea it was actually a FORT! I just assumed it was a settlement called Cove Fort. It is a huge fort with living quarters all along the inside walls. It is all still furnished with Pioneer furniture, which is all so miniature! Our guide told us that is was small so they could fit it in their covered wagons to cross the plains. By the time our tour was completed, Bridger was so happy that we stopped. He loved it! We all did, I even got a "good idea, mom!"

Flash Game

"Flash Fox". I'm wondering if it's the UVSC Wolverine dressed in other garb?

Gage thought Grandpa Steve sounded like more fun than going with us, so Bridger took his friend Braden.
I couldn't get a good dancing shot, she's the purple one.

Earlier this month, Halley danced at the Flash game. We had never been and we had a lot of fun! They did so many give-aways, they were constantly throwing t-shirts, basketballs, water bottles, etc into the crowd, which the boys loved! The ticket prices are not expensive, and the game was fun to watch, and the half-time entertainment was fabulous!! :) She has danced at the Jazz games the last couple of years and it's alot of fun, but this was just as much fun, less people and less money to get the whole family in. We would definitely take the family and go again.

Halley

Halley dances for The Dance Club in Orem. They did a photo shoot several weeks ago and we got them back last night. These are some of my favorites.

Who is cuter? Halley or her dog, Gabby?

Wannabe

We have a friend that recently graduated from BYU and he was also one of their starting wide receivers on the football team. His name is Zac Collie, and my children ADORE him! I think he's Halley's first love, he's Bridger's idol, and Gage...well, Gage IS Zac Collie. Everytime I put his blue Adidas sweatsuit on him he tells me, "I'm Zac today." And we have to call him Zac! I'm just thankful they all have such a great role model and example to look up to!

And this would be today...

Seriously, the picture I posted yesterday, was taken yesterday. 24 hours and 2 kids later here is what I am left with.

Brooklyn, the darling little girl I tend, came in with a handful.
"We picked these for you!" Grrrr.

Saturday Night Date

Every Saturday night Jonathon and Bridger have baseball practice, and Halley is WAY too cool to hang out with me, so Gage and I are usually here by ourselves. We decided we would make cookies. Gage loves to help me cook, and he is the best taste-tester! We tried a new recipe and they were pretty good, I think I'll make them again to give out for Easter. If you want the recipe, click here. I baked them in a mini-muffin tin so the peanut-butter cup was completely covered. I also only put them back in the oven for only 3 minutes, I thought 6 was too much. Yum!

This is Gage helping "unwrap" the peanut-butter cups, look at his cheeks.
